Let Your Light Shine

Of all the gems and jewels, there’s a reason why diamonds are the most desired and beloved — and the perfect model for how to shine bright.

When you think of "bling" your mind likely positions diamonds as the ultimate expression of the word. In their purest form they shine like the sun and sparkle like the stars, reflecting untainted light in a magnificent display of radiance.

That they are chiseled from carbon, dense and dark rock mined from deep within the earth's surface, is unimaginable yet encouraging. It gives hope that, with enough refinement, you too can transform into the most brilliant version of yourself.

The journey of a diamond speaks to a familiar process of becoming for many notable heroines. The Cinderellas and ugly ducklings in common myths are those whose true light is not immediately detected.

In these stories, it takes a series of trials and hardships to cultivate the outcast and downtrodden protagonist. During this process she does not see how she is transforming. She does not understand that all of the untoward pressure is necessary — she is being purged so she can evolve into her purest form.

Before and even in the midst of the refinement process, you also may be disregarded and discounted. Others won't see any value in you and you may even underestimate yourself. But while many elements dissipate under intense pressure, a true diamond — one of the hardest substances in nature — is formidable.

Right now you may be but a block of coal, a diamond in the rough whose true potential is hidden. But the strikes against your beauty, your talent, your intelligence and your worth, are actually chiseling and polishing you into the person you will become.

If you can't yet resonate with the high vibration of diamonds, adorn yourself with them. As agents of purity and prosperity, diamonds (or similar stones like clear quartz and crystals) yield clear, positive and abundant thinking. Regardless if you believe in their energetic qualities, their sheer beauty will act as a daily reminder of who you really are.

And when your natural radiance is finally unveiled, do not try to conceal it (you won't be able to anyway as you’ll be too stunning). Instead, revel in the glory you deserve and shine bright like the diamond you are.
